ust steps away from the banks of the Dordogne and under the shade of the trees, the Brocante of La Roque-Gageac comes alive. Dozens of stalls line the square, each filled with treasures waiting to be found: copper pots polished by time, delicate glassware glowing in the sunlight, oil paintings that whisper forgotten stories, and handcrafted furniture infused with character. For us, it was more than just browsing. It was a chance to discover pieces that would later find their place at Le Coin Tranquille. Each object carries a story, and together they weave a part of our home’s soul. What makes the Brocante so unique is not only the variety of antiques, but also its setting. The village — recognised as one of the “Most Beautiful Villages of France” — becomes a stage where history, beauty, and community converge. The cliffs rise in the background, the Dordogne flows nearby, and the lively energy of locals and visitors alike creates an atmosphere that is both festive and timeless.
